Anonymous Posting: DarkEsq is designed for anonymous discussion. When you post without an account, we create a one-way hash of your IP address and browser information. This hash cannot be reversed to identify you, but allows us to prevent duplicate voting and spam.
Registered Accounts: If you create an account, we collect your email address and chosen username. Passwords are securely hashed using bcrypt.
Automatically Collected: We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited. This data is used for security and analytics purposes.

Posts and comments are retained indefinitely unless deleted by the author or removed for policy violations. Server logs are retained for 90 days. Account information is retained until you delete your account.
