there is a judge in this district who has never been reversed on appeal not because hes right but because no one can afford to challenge him that is a different kind of power a judge once told me in chambers that the law is whatever he says it is in his courtroom he was smiling when he said it i was not smiling when i heard it this judge assigns pro bono cases as punishment for attorneys who annoy him my caseload tripled after i filed a recusal motion
